Day 3 of institutional Strategic planning session

Today marked the final day of the 3 day institutional Strategic planning session.
Following an extensive recap by Senior Internal Auditor Ms N Sonjica, The ADM’s Local Economic Development department delivered a presentation which outlined the District Municipalities support to all Local Municipalities within the district.
Following these presentations, Department heads gave presentations on the outcomes of their Departmental Strategic Planning sessions.
The following are the Resolutions of the session:
- Ensure proper alignment of GKM’s plans to that of Government as reflected in the SONA and SOPA
- Invest more in local/ small scale farmers.
- Develop the institutional Tourism Masterplan and ensure the successful implementation of it.
- Review the Financial Recovery Plan
- Identify Land for Development and Agricultural purposes
- Priority to be ramped on the bridge connecting Kei Mouth and Centane
- Initiate Mayors Awards for best performing schools in GKM
- Lobby Home Affairs to open an office in GKM as the people of GKM are in dire need of this service.
- Embark ok Data cleansing and change all old electricity meters
- MPAC to conduct oversight visits to all recently constructed projects.
- Review of the organogram so as to ensure that it speaks to the needs articulated in the SDBIP.
In Closing Hon Mayor Cllr NW Tekile thanked the Attendees for a fruitful engagement and asked that they continue to work with the municipality in order to ensure that we continue to #BuildtheGreatKeiwewant
