Nomination of Ward Committee kuBhola in Ward 3

On 26 May 2026 the Public Participation Office presided over the election of a new Ward Committee in Ward 3. Mr Blom chaired the session

Ward committees are responsible for bridging the gap between the community and the Ward Cllr.

The ward committee had to be replaced due to a problem that arose following the replacement of the previous ward committee who stepped down due to being very busy.

Ward Committees must:
❗️Be registered to vote in the VD
❗️Have no municipal Arrears
❗️Not writing at the municipality (Local and District)
❗️Has no criminal Case as of 1997 Feb
❗️Must be of sound mind
❗️Must be able to write as monthly reports are submitted monthly.
❗️Represents all community members, regardless of their affiliations.
❗️Present in all safety forums (like CPF)

The duration of their term is in line with elected Councillors.

Ms Mavuso Then outlined the nomination process which was then followed.
