Today the Political and Adminsitrative Ledership of GKM, led by Hon Mayor Cllr NW Tekile and Municipal Manager Mr L Mambila were in Ward 7 to introduce the contractor who will be constructing the community hall.

Draaibosch had been earmarked for Development, as such there is also a project currently running in the area where a road is being constructed. This community hall is a long standing request from the growing community of Draaibosch. As the community grows so do their needs and as such not having a community hall proved to be a struggle for this community.

Hon Mayor Tekile said “This hall construction is as a result of the pleas of the people of Draaibosch. The hall should be done within 6 months and if all goes well it should be completed by January 2024. May we learn to be as selfless as the Man who’s day we are celebrating, a man who gave up his freedom in pursuit of the freedom of many”

The Community also received 800 seedlings, some were planted in the community garden.
